Volunteers pitch in for United Way Day of Caring

More than 100 volunteers pitched in to help the United Way in North Penn.

Bucks County Courier Times, 12/4/17

More than 100 corporate and community volunteers joined the United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey at nine volunteer sites throughout Montgomery County as part of United Way’s recent North Penn Day of Caring.

Sites included the Keystone Opportunity Center in Souderton, where volunteers cleaned, gardened and painted a home for a client; Generations of Indian Valley, where volunteers helped install a slat wall display system and completed landscaping projects; and the Boys and Girls Club of Indian Valley, where volunteers cleaned and organized the clubhouse and helped make decorations for the upcoming holidays.

North Penn Day of Caring is a part of United Way’s year-round volunteer initiative 365 Days of Caring, which matches local companies with community service projects that support United Way’s mission to end intergenerational poverty in the region.
