Julie Howard Taylor is the Managing Director of Private Philanthropy at United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey. She oversees the organization’s individual giving, donor relations and communications, grantwriting, direct mail, and special events. Julie focuses on building and stewarding United Way’s donor communities and creating processes and tools that enable relationship management and fundraising success.
A proud AmeriCorps*NCCC alum, Julie has been working in the nonprofit sector for more than 15 years. Prior to joining United Way, Julie spent five years managing donor engagement and special events at the National Museum of American Jewish History. Additionally, she has held fundraising positions at the Philadelphia Photo Arts Center and Bread & Roses Community Fund.
Julie holds a Masters degree in Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania and a B.A. in Visual Media from American University.
She lives with her husband and two young daughters in Philadelphia.
