Your contribution enables United Way to fulfill its mission to harness, leverage and strategically invest the collective power of donors, advocates and volunteers, to drive measurable results that improve the lives of people in our region
Giving connects us with the very basic experience of what it means to be human – people helping people. United Way recognizes gifts of $1,000 and more as Leadership gifts.
- Cornerstone - $1,000 - $2,499
$1,200 covers the cost of placing four mentors with children for two years. - Keystone - $2,500 - $4,999
$2,500 will provide scholarships for literacy classes and tutoring for adults with low literacy classes and new English speakers. - Standard Bearers - $5,000 - $9,999
$5,000 helps with partial scholarship, transportation, and childcare so that a single parent can earn his or her associate degree and build a better life. - United Way Tocqueville Society - $10,000 or more
$10,000 will provide scholarships for five childcare teachers serving 40 children to achieve degrees in early child development. United Way convenes community leaders to identify critical issues on which we can make a difference with limited resources.
