UNITED2FEED
Too many individuals in Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey are hungry. In fact, Southeastern Pennsylvania’s First Congressional District is considered one of the hungriest places for families in the United States and Camden is the nation’s most impoverished city.
At United Way, we are so committed to this effort because we know:
- A child can’t perform well in school when hungry
- Working families still need help putting nutritious food on their tables
- Seniors shouldn’t have to choose between a hot meal and their medication
Join us in the fight against hunger:
Organize a collection and donate items to a local food pantry.

On Thursday, April 25, 2013, United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey will be joined by 500 volunteers to prepare 60,000 meals for 5,000 families and individuals throughout the region. More than 80,000 pounds of food will be sorted as we are UNITED2FEED to tackle the issue of hunger in our community.
