Board Orientation Training
How can you best share what you know with the non-profit organizations that really need your help?
United Way’s Young Leaders Program (YLP) offers training to prepare young professionals under 40 for service on boards of nonprofit organizations. The program assists in matching graduates to agencies for board or steering committee work.
The curriculum covers:
- Board Roles and Responsibilities
- Organizational Life Cycles
- Legal and Ethical Issues
- Fundraising
- Board/Administrator Relationships
