Philadelphia has one of the highest rates of food insecurity in the country. An initiative of United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey and the City of Philadelphia, the Philadelphia Food Access Collaborative is a central group designed to meet the needs of the emergency food network, disseminate information on meal availability and help individuals and providers navigate the vast landscape of emergency food assistance in Philadelphia to maximize effectiveness. This network of organizations includes emergency food providers, social services and behavioral health organizations, community members, city government, emergency meal guests and philanthropic organizations working to combat hunger.
Our goal is to ensure every Philadelphian can find a nutritious meal in an environment that respects their dignity. View a snapshot of what hunger looks like in our region.
