UNITED WAY IMPACT FUND INVESTMENTS
United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey improves lives and strengthens communities by responding to local needs in the areas of Education, Financial Stability, Health and Basic Needs.
This year, our United Way launched a strategic investment planning process, led by our Impact Strategy Committee and in partnership with Fairmount Ventures, to help identify how our Impact Fund investments can drive the greatest Impact as a regional organization moving forward. This is the first inventory of our strategic investments in 10 years and our first as a regional organization.
The results of this work will be used to define both what we ultimately want to accomplish as a result of our Impact Fund investments and how those investments can best be made to achieve our goals. These strategic decisions will form the foundation of our investment policies and practices moving forward.
To ensure we give this critical work the time and consideration it requires for design and implementation, three-year general operating support grants from our FY ’15-17 funding cycle will now extend by one year through June 2018.
Calls for applications for our next funding cycle (FY19-21) will go out in the summer or fall of 2017.
